It is outdoor dining with a bar and usually quiet local music. The menu is varied with many excellent seafood dishes but it is hard to get away from the yellowtail snapper. Key lime pie with 3 inches of merangue is a great finish. Sunday brunch is also excellent but be relaxed and prepared to wait. But it is worth it. It is very inviting and comfortable. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful with helping you with your orders. Which this can be a problem because everything on the menu is delicious. The banana bread is worth taking some home with you. The coffee is fresh and beautiful brewed. Eggs cooked to perfection. The gift shop has some cool little items great for gift giving. We will be making this place our must stop for breakfast in Key West. We eat mostly vegetarian and they had several options that were delicious. The food has a Cuban slant which was fun for us as we live on the opposite end of the country! And the key lime pie, we were told best anywhere... They kind of added to the character of the place. I wasnt expecting anything amazing, but its one of the few breakfast places open at 8 AM. If I were a manager at Denny's, I wouldn't even consider hiring her to wash dishes. Sunday brunch is also excellent but be relaxed and prepared to wait. We went at lunch time just after 1pm and didn't have to wait for a table. The wait was well worth it. THE KEY IS CREATIVITY WITH CONSISTENCY.
